Careful restoration has uncovered a treasure trove of woodwork and ceiling frescos that were hidden under the dust of decades. In 2008, Songzhusi was incorporated into the Temple Hotel project, which seeks to restore the temple to its former grandeur and open it as a unique place of refuge for travelers to this ancient capital.

For 2009, the Temple Hotel will focus on hosting events and conferences. While hotel rooms, restaurant and bar facilities will be available by early 2010.
